There are many exciting and enjoyable events that happen in the Rutherglen area - if you are here at the right time, you may be able to experience a Rutherglen wine festival. From the well known and most popular Tastes of Rutherglen (held in March each year) to the Rutherglen Winery Walkabout (annually in June) to smaller events like the Rutherglen Wine Show, you will always find something fun and exciting that is happening in the Rutherglen area.

One of the most well known events in the area is the Rutherglen Winery Walkabout. This wine festival is held annually on the Queen’s birthday (June). Motel Woongarra is also within easy walking distance of local attractions including restaurants, golf clubs, bowls clubs, tennis clubs, shops, pubs and more.
